Ted Dziekanowski, the DoD CIO John Sherman has put forward JWCC and Zero Trust as significant programs to watch in 2023 for the DoD. There’s no mention of CMMC. The CMMC is a major program to implement cybersecurity across the national and international defense industry base and national security (GAO). A core capability to implement JWCC and Zero Trust and a core function of defense technology development.
Cybersecurity is undergoing and will continue to undergoe significant regulatory reform in the U.S, EU and APAC impacting markets and the DIB. Reforms that impact defense primes and their subcontractors. The CMMC program and the security of CUI is one such program.
