Telstra Australia’s largest telecoms company is managing the fall out from a cyber breach. With reports that a breach occurred in 2017 emanating from a third party supplier that managed a staff benefits program. The breach has come to light after data was recently posted on line raising questions about timely disclosure.
This latest report has heightened the consternation across Australia political spectrum, calling for tighter cyber regulation following the Optus and Telstra third party hack. With calls for Optus leadership to resign.
