Thank you Brian Levine for posting. CISOs not only require legal protection. With several articles published recently looking at the skills CISOs need to operate in the board room. There needs to be a reality check by boards and CISOs on their security needs, organizational design and capabilities.
CISOs are expected to be a security and risk professional, advisor, expert, operational leader and take on a legal and compliance risk management role, that many have not faced before. A role that increases their personal liability.
