Thank you for posting Bryan Foss, Knights of Old (KNP) was an historic UK business that went into bankruptcy in 2023 following a cyber attack. All it took was a single weak password to allow the hackers to compromise the company. Resulting in a shut down of operations, following a £5million ransom demand.
The UK is made up of 99% SMEs, companies of the same size as KNP. Companies that cannot afford to manage cybersecurity risks. Companies that are equally at risk as KNP.
The UK needs a defensive cyber strategy to enable UK industry across all sectors address cybersecurity risk management appropriately. A strategy that communicates the necessity and gives practical help and support to SMEs for the management of cyber.
