The article demonstrates the flexibility and adaptive nature of cyber threat actors. Even threat actors have limited resources and the Russian Ukraine Crisis may have consumed their attention. It also demonstrates the market segmentation between what one could call the high end professional groups like Clop, AlphV/Black Cat and Black Basta yielding high average payment sizes of over $1.7million, vs. the spray and pray bottom feeders. It is a very profitable, adaptive and complex market, but it is a business and could even call a sector with a defined architecture.

One suspects that cyber insurers paying close attention to the market.
