Thank you for posting Oliver F. Gosemann, for me this is an important report for a couple of reasons. The first is the German government used data from Bitkom to heavily substantiate its final NIS2 implementation draft in July 2024 to the EU Commission. Citing the potential damage cyber attacks caused the German companies to be around EUR 210 billion a year (2022/2023).

The enclosed report from the association of German Information and Telecommunications Companies evaluates this about EUR 178 billion for 2024. While calculating national impact of cyber is not a science, the figures are best estimates, with a backdrop of increases in cyber attacks, reduced spending and a lack of knowledgeable and skilled resources.
The report also makes other observations about the state of cybersecurity, that no doubt can be reflected across other jurisdictions. 66% of companies see cyber as an existential threat, with only 53% prepared to manage cyber; Low investment in cybersecurity; and the rise of cyber as a geopolitical tool.
Data that is correlated by other reports, but few reports are used to baseline national submissions for regulatory compliance for cybersecurity risk management.
