Thank you for posting Ted Dziekanowski. A timely reminder that NIST is developing industry specific cybersecurity framework profiles for cyber risk management. In this instance a CSF profile for LNG, demonstrating the application of the CSF and alignment with mission and business objectives. Mission and business objectives that have been developed with the LNG industry and applied within the profile.

CSF profiles provide an appropriate ‘vessel’ to integrate risk management and cyber standards for the management of cybersecurity risks. CISA has recognised several CSP profiles, so one suspects they align with U.S cyber strategy. Profiles that amongst others include baselines for LNG, the U.S Coast Guard, Maritime bulk liquids.

One wonders how long before CSF profile cascade across the maritime industry as an approved framework? Remembering that you can add any cybersecurity standard that is appropriate into a framework.
