Thank you for publishing @Thaddeus Dziekanowski. Public auto dealers across the U.S file disclosures to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission of potential material financial impacts to their businesses following the hack on a third party software supplier CDK Global. The hack is a further demonstration of the impact of cyber on supply chain security and dependency on single source technology suppliers and their cybersecurity.

One believes this hack sets precedence. The CDK cyber attack has had a profound effect on the sale and distribution of vehicles across the U.S. With so many organisations filing disclosures to the SEC, raising concerns of the potential effects to their financial performance.

The U.S National Automobile Dealers Association reported the widespread effect of the attack against CDK. With public dealers worried about their stock price falling due to the impact of the cyber attack on the future earnings. (https://lnkd.in/eQXp9s3H.)

Veritas GRC is finalising its board cybersecurity risk management program with chosen clients, and will provide the program from Q4 2024. We introduce boards to cybersecurity; corporate governance of cybersecurity risk; risk management and transfer practices; board oversight and assurance of cyber risk and appropriate programs to support boards better manage cybersecurity risk, including supply chain risk.
