Thank you Ted Dziekanowski for sharing, a must read document. For national and international organisations which deal with US Federal Government this Executive Order along side the SCRM EO signed in February 2021, sets out a suite of actions to be put in place across Federal Government, initiating in my view the initial stages of formalised strategy and regulation for cybersecurity. The roles of DHS, DoD, CISA, NSA, OMB and the Attorney General are articulated in the required response. Which include changes to;
1. Cyber threat information sharing.
2. Modernisation of Federal Cyber. FAR, cloud, SaaS, PaaS.
3. A focus on software supply chain security. Software SCRM.
4. Establishing a ¢â‚¬ËœCyber Review Board for Federal incident response.
5. Improving vulnerability and response procedures across Federal Government.
6. Improving cyber vulnerability and incident detection on Federal Networks.
7. Improving Federal cyber investigation an remediation capabilities.
8. For the Secretary of Defence to adopt National Security System requirements.
Brian McCarthy, Jason Spezzano
