Thank you Ted Dziekanowski for sharing. As regulators move forward with cyber risk regulations there will be a focus on the decisions made by security professionals and boards. The data that regulators are looking to be provided will give stakeholders information on the maturity of an organisations cybersecurity risks, their internal governance and their risk mitigation programs.

I fear that the Uber caser, as with other cases such as Aerojet Rocketdyne and soon to be trialed SolarWinds case will set precedence. If there were doubt that cyber legal is a challenge and opportunity one only has to look at the legal community in the U.S. and the drive to grow cyber, legal data practices.

One fears that given the low levels of corporate cyber maturity, the focus on cyber regulation and lack of board room cyber experience, there will be opportunities to add to the precedence pool. But as you say you have been discussing this for a while, and luckily developed appropriate programs to support organisations address these challenges.
