Thanks for posting Olaf Classen. As you rightly say this is a great article that discusses the effect of cybersecurity regulation on Global Automotive manufacturers. Regulation that requires manufacturers to implement a cybersecurity management system and software update management system. Both of which add further costs to the life cycle management of cars. A cost that looks to be prohibitive for some manufacturers and older production models, forcing decisions to discontinue production of models such as VWs Up, the Porsche Cayman and Boxster and ICE Macan.
