The case being bought by the Securities and Exchange Commission against SolarWinds and its CISO, is likely one to watch in 2024. As the Uber case set caselaw for cybersecurity in 2023, the SolarWinds Case will likely do the same in 2024. When one considers the number of companies affected by the SolarWinds hack, the list of companies the SEC may wish to call to date is a mix of mix of financiers, auditors, cyber vendors and attorneys.
