The enclosed is the update of the UKs integrated defense review for 2023. At a time when Western governments are developing cybersecurity risk management strategy, regulation and programs that integrate national Security between kinetic, logical, offensive and defensive security and the role that cybersecurity plays in national security. The integrated review discusses the role of cyber, but it is difficult to understand the specific deliverables to enable a meaningful understanding of actions.
The integrated review comes at a time when partner nations are addressing the role that cybersecurity plays in defensive security. The integration of cyber within their defense sectors, private sector cybersecurity, the adoption of cyber regulation to improve national resilience and secure supply chains, that affects national security. Regulation that affects the UK defense industry (U.S DoD DFARS) and the private sector. NCSC, the UK cyber agency gets mentioned once.
