The EU has made significant efforts to regulate cybersecurity. Its approach has been to create a connected suite of regulations that compliment each other. Yet can be applied independently across industry sectors for example EU NIS references the CRA and DORA links to NIS2.
The EU is looking to integrate its approach for AI cyber security with its proposed Cyber Resilience Act (CRA). That proposes the manufacturers of ICT products and services to implement and certify cybersecurity risk management compliance ahead of their products being sold or distributed across the EU.
The EU and U.S approaches to cybersecurity risk management have similarities that should not be ignored. The recent U.S ONCD strategy could be considered to have a lot in common with EU NIS 2 and the CRA.
Yes, we have the integrated strategy to support boards and their organisations comply with NIS 2, DORA, the SEC proposal and CRA. We start educating U.S Attorneys next month.
