The EU has proposed a new cybersecurity package on cybersecurity resilience and capabilities to revise the EU Cybersecurity Act. With a proposal to create an ICT supply chain cybersecurity framework, based on a harmonised risk-based approach across EU Member states.

The Act aims to ensure that products and services entering the EU are tested for security through a renewed EU Cybersecurity Certification Framework. It introduces amendments to the EU NIS2 directive to increase legal clarity and introduces a new category of small mid-cap enterprises.
