The European Securities Market Association (ESMA) is changing its Union Strategic Supervisory Priorities to include cyber Security Risk Management. Keeping in line with DORA and one could say aligning with other markets regulators such as the SEC and NYDFS.

This is a significant move. ESMA works in the field of securities legislation and regulation to improve the functioning of financial markets in Europe, strengthening investor protection and co-operation between national competent authorities.
