The Irish health system has been impacted significantly by a suspected ransomware. Whilst many have been focusing their attention on the Colonial attack and the potential for changes in US cyber policy. The Irish health services has been tackling a cyber incident which has affected a lot of its infrastructure. Forcing the cancellation of all but emergency appointments.
The attack has affected hospitals and services across the health system. With guidance being issued to other Irish Government departments to reduce the risk of further ransomware incidents on their networks.
