The London Stock Exchange seems to be loosing allot of companies and cash. Darktrace’s departure to Private Equity is just one example of the firms that have left the exchange, recently; including Biotech firm Abcam, plumbing supplier Ferguson and packaging firm Smurfit Kappa Group have moved to the U.S. Where there’s more liquidity and a more innovative approach to investing.
[sic – the LSE]. “They have not been as well built for intellectual property-based companies where the value is in the opportunity of the future.â€Â
One suspects Dark Trace will not be the last company to consider the best home for its stock and access to liquidity. Albeit the U.S regulators certainly have more teeth, as we are seeing with Cybersecurity Risk Management.
Thoma Bravo portfolio has over 75 companies, generating over $27billion annual revenues and 91k employees. One suspects that the PE house will have little trouble in turning Darktrace around as it integrate it into its portfolio.
