The National Cybers Security Center Annual review of UK cybersecurity makes for an interesting read. Providing a map of the interrelations between UK Government, Industry and International Agencies, to a degree highlighting the complex challenges with the management of national and international cybersecurity.https://lnkd.in/eUXBbqxsThe UK government has work on worked offensive cyber operations and supporting the UK public and private sector with addressing serious cyber incidents. One waits to see how the UK government will develop its strategy for defensive cybersecurity across UK public and private sector.Much of the defensive cybersecurity risk management book has been written by the U.S government, EU Parliament and Australian Government. Providing a wealth of lesson learnt from FISMA and CMMC, through EU NIS 2 and DORA and other corporate cyber governance regulation. Demonstrating in part that the traditional levers of ‘motherhood and apple pie’ did not work when it came to transforming culture to manage cyber risk and that the ultimate levers of regulation and enforcement are needed(the stick), along side industrial carrots. One could do much worst than considering these strategies for cybersecurity risk management, if the UK wishes its public and private sector to harmoniously operate, trade and integrate with international partners.@Thaddeus Dziekanowski Brian D.
