The U.S government is lining up to examine the allegations put forward by Twitter’s former security chief, Peiter Zatko. Who informed Congress and filed complaints last month with the Justice Department, the Federal Trade Commission and the Securities and Exchange Commission about serious issues that relate to Twitters security.

Allegations that are serious enough to require him to testify at a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Sept. 13, the same day that Twitters shareholders vote on Twitters pending buyout by Elon Musk. On suspect this maybe one of many request that will be made. One cannot underestimate the seriousness of the allegations made and their impact.

Some reports mention the impact to National security at one level, while regulators such as the FTS and SEC will no doubt be looking very closely at regulatory disclosure filing and the impact on both shareholders and the impact to the public. The seriousness of the allegations cannot be under estimated.
