The UK FRC has published its Corporate Governance Code. Aligning UK corporate governance with that of other partner nations.
When one considers cyber regulation such as the SEC Final rule and EU cyber regulations such as NIS 2 or DORA. Especially controls oversight, assurance, attestation and reporting, there’s alot for UK boards to now consider.
Such as board focus on outcomes decision making; control design and effectiveness testing; monitoring risk management and controls, and processes.
With recent reports identifying the challenges boards face delivering the above, one expects legal and compliance risk for UK boards to rise.
