The UK government has published board governance cyber training, for boards to address cybersecurity governance. It’s an interesting program, coming at a time when boards are finding it difficult to come to terms with the need to adopt governance, oversight and assurance over cybersecurity risk. For board to adopt governance over cybersecurity risk, they first have to be supported in understanding that cybersecurity risk is complex issue. It is a risk to national and corporate security and a risk that they have to address. The program comes at a time when Veritas GRC launch its board governance over cybersecurity risk management education programs with The Government of Dubai Legal Affairs Department and Knowledge Nexus. With content we created and delivered with myLawCLE and the Federal Bar Association. Programs presented with colleagues Ryan Buckner from Schellman over the past 4 months and Rachel V. Rose, JD, MBA.Cyber is a regulatory compliance issue for covered companies in the EU and US. As well as companies that trade with those covered companies elsewhere in the world. It is important therefore for boards, accountable executives and counsel to have a clear understanding of appropriate and reasonable governance over cyber risk.@Thaddeus Dziekanowski Brian D.
