The UK Information Commissionaire Office (ICO) and National Cybersecurity Center (NCSC) have issued a joint statement and advice to the UK Law society with about on paying ransomware. Lawyers should not advise clients to pay ransomware demands should they fall victim to a cyber-attack
In a similar vein to the U.S Department of Treasury (DoT) that issued an updated advisory in Quarter 3 2021 reminding that making ransomware payments to those organisations, individuals and states on OFAC is a breach.
