The UK is stuck behind the curve on cyber, as reported in December 2023 to Parliament.

Our international partners have made cybersecurity risk management a priority, regulating cyber for capital markets, Critical National Infrastructure and Financial Institutions.

Regulation that sets out requirements for corporate governance, cybersecurity risk management, incident reporting and ownership by boards or accountable executives. Regulation that comes with civil and criminal penalties. Outside of the UK cyber is becoming a legal, compliance and risk issue for covered boards.

Our board cybersecurity risk management compliance programs are written with our legal colleagues and audit partners. Addressing the effects of regulatory risk transfer into the board room and regulatory compliance.

Compliance that UK organisation need to consider if they wish to trade with international partners. Compliance that the UK government needs to consider.
