The UKs Ministry of Defense is undoubtedly a complex organisation and no doubt a target for all forms of hacker from cyber espionage, nation state. criminals and the odd script kiddy.
So it shouldn’t be a surprise when hacks take place. Although so of the data lossess seem to be due to own goals and as a result of the more traditional breaches, like leaving paper on desks or filling cabinets left unlocked.
Its reassuring that this level of security breach is assessed and reported as well as the more sophisticated actions of cyber attackers.
