The US Congress continues it’s drive on cyber to remediate the impact of cyber-attacks on US power networks. With continued discussion on geopolitical cyber, the cyber capabilities of specific countries and the risk of cyber on the US power networks. Lawmakers on either side of the house are passing bills focusing on cyber security across the energy sector, electricity and gas. The Senate is also working on cyber related bills, with a focus on cyber and energy research. The fact is that cyber has a real world and significant impact on the economy; with our reliance on technology to provide the services we relay on daily.

With all this legislation, who is going to fund it?
A question many are starting to ask, especially the utility providers.
