The US reported the same challenges with Universities and nation-state access to defence Research and Development and national security.
One wonders how access to R&D, carried out by UK universities on US defense projects, will be viewed under the CMMC. CMMC applies to R&D and has been tried under US law, with fines against US academic institutions for failures under DFARS.
