The world’s 2nd largest eyeglass lens maker Hoya of Japan has had to halt production due to a cyberattack.

The company is also known for producing medical endoscopes, intraocular lenses, optical lenses as well as key components for semiconductor devices, LCD panels and HDDs.

Having such a prominent manufacturer of complex, high quality products will effect supply chains globally.
