Call us now:
There maybe trouble ahead, as we come to terms with the fact that the foundation of Generative AI is based and relies upon the data that we have all created over the past 100’s of years. Data that sits in the vast data lakes Gen AI sits above. With allot of that data being created at a time when no one understood that it could or would be used as the foundation of AI.And it’s a conundrum. On one hand our digital dependency enabled the creation of masses of data. Data that we readily pump through a myriad of apps, for a myriad of reasons, giving it away. Social media, search engines, lets not forget that over 60% of internet traffic is business related (CISCO 2020) all pump data out directly or indirectly to these bug data lakes. So one suspects that the data horse has left stable and it ain’t going back in. There’s little chance now that nation states, however well meaning, can stop the AI ‘Royal train’. As like social media, societies are using AI tools to great effect and nation states have made it clear that they rely on it to improve GDP.There’s little chance that big tech and nation states are going to stop the Royal Train and while many rightly want recognition for their hard work and efforts, having their data copywrite protected. Lets face it societies are unable to manage digital dependency, control social media and restrict data usage today. Controlling AI is highly unlikely given its benefits. So the simple question is. How can we compensate those whose data is being consumed by AI?Maybe the question is how can we benefit from the use of AI, and change yesterdays business models.@Thaddeus Dziekanowski Brian D.
