There maybe trouble ahead……the AI train has left the station and its heading out into them rocky mountains and there’s no sign that its going to stop for anyone.

Governments including the US and China are writing their AI action plans. With the US clearly looking to dominate AI adopt in the West and China taking a more country centered perspective.

These action plans are setting out the frameworks for AI adoption. Frameworks that will redefine AI governance. AI governance that boards need to play close attention to, as what starts as geopolitical soon makes its way to the board room.

We’re now in a world where data is king and that means all data from corporate IP thought personal data. AI will consume the lot. Therefore protecting it for competitive advantage is key, and for organizations that requires corporate governance.

Corporate governance needs to pay attention to what happening globally, as AI is driven by the political agenda. The US wants to take a global lead and once the ball starts rolling companies will fall in behind.
