This is a really interesting article. If Cobra are spending a majority of their time talking about ransomware when geopolitical events from the Ukraine, Russia, China, North Korea and Iran are front and center. What does that tell you about the state of ransomware management in the UK?

Another interesting observation is we don’t seem to be seeing many successful ransomware in the media. So it the UK is really good at managing cyber and ransomware, or the UK is not being targeted by nation states and criminals, or are cyber attacks not being reported, or all three.

Given the state of UK cyber strategy, regulation, compliance, oversight and assurance I’m going for not reporting incidents. Given the volume of attacks other countries are seeing. Either that or NCSC are cleaning up all traffic as it enters the UK.
