This week has been challenging for Uber. Reporting a cyber incident on Thursday following a compromise via its slack instance, coming on of this weeks court case and the testimony of a former Uber lawyer against Ubers former head of security following a 2016 hack. Shares of Uber declined 4% in premarket trading Friday on news of the hack.

If as suggested the hacker was able to take over Ubers Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud accounts, and gained access to internal financial data. Then this is a serious compromise and will raise questions over how the hacker is able to move laterally across systems and cloud platforms.
