US Cyber command has issued a warning to fix a known vulnerability in Outlook 2017. Following an active hacking campaign and a favored exploit of hackers, bought to light following the recent US, Iranian hacking exchange.
The exploit uses Outlook to download malware once it has been compromised and run code via the outlook sandbox. Albeit you have to have the users Outlook credentials.
Several industry sources have raised concerns that it is the current exploit of choice with Iranian hackers at present.
Tip: Patch released in 2017 for CVE-2017-11774
