Well worth watching, the US Armed Services Committee hearing on January 28th, 2026, discussing the need to overhaul US CyberCom 2.0. The most significant overhaul of US Cyber Command since its inception. To ensure America’s Dominance in the cybersecurity domain, to achieve peace through strength.
The committee discusses the need to prioritise cybersecurity alongside kinetic warfare. Increase cyber readiness and promote cybersecurity across all services. Introduced an effective initiative for retention. Requiring cyber professionals with the necessary skills and abilities to bolster cyber skills.
All to be addressed by the DoW to fix force design and force employment to achieve outcomes. The DoW needs to build and sustain cyber talent to address cyberspace operations. To fight digital wars with inflexible personal structures, it’s not a luxury but a foundation for building a cyber force for the future.
