We’ve had SolarWinds, now we will have Clorox vs. Cognizant. As Clorox has filed a £380mn claim for damage in a Californian court, claiming that its 2023 cyber attack was caused by the outsourced firms management of security to its systems. Clorox claims the hack was not complex. It appears that the keys were simply handed over to the kingdom simply by social engineering.
Now the case beings for Clorox and Cognizant. But are there bigger issues ahead for the Indian Outsource industry? As AI starts to erode the cost and labour advantages that outsourced providers once had. AI has started to erode job security of Indian outsource providers customers, why wouldn’t it move down the supply chain into outsource service providers themselves?
