When these 100 year swans float by let’s hope more don’t get wedged on the canal. Whilst this is a risk which would undoubtedly be difficult to remediate for the operators of vessels. I wonder if there are other mitigation strategies which could be deployed. This is a good example of SCRM and its impact sitting on the right hand tail, low probability, high impact.

Either way, the residual risk impact for this event is quite large.
