When nation states tell their citizen to prepare for the worst then there’s a chance that bad stuff will happen.Securing our CNI is complex. When we think of our interconnected digitial society we could consider it as many bicycle wheels all connected together. With the hub of one wheel attached to the end of a spoke of another. Now think 100,000s of these connected together, then you can picture in simple terms how connected our lives are to data, how our CNI services are connected together through data and infrastructure, providing the basic services we rely on daily. Where some wheels are more important than others.The problem with cyber is we have let it drift along on the side lines, ignored its potential to cause damage and put it in the FUD bucket. Maybe now its no long a FUD debate? As the recent attack on Blue Yonder and this years attacks against United Health and CDK have demonstrated, our dependency on digitial is complex.
