With modular defense prototyping and production being the way forward, cybersecurity compliance becomes an increasingly important capability. Albeit for those contractors wanting to deal with the United States Department of War they have to deal with CMMC first, before they get a look-in with the US supply chain.

Contractors aren’t/ won’t be allowed to bid for new contracts or options unless they can demonstrate compliance with their Primes. We’ve seen some contracts explicitly ask for compliance before tender documents are released.

Then there’s the False Claims Act to consider. That is a very real issue.
