You know when regulators publish a message that there is generally something worth saying and listening to. In this instance about the oversight and assurance of third party auditors by ‘lead auditors’. For Lead Auditors to ensure that they adopt the same high standards over their third parties as they are expected to adopt by the PCAOB.

One suspects the oversight and assurance of financial audits is a priority for regulators given the recent issues with Financial Institutions in the U.S.
