A great article, as the effects of EU cyber risk management regulation is felt by EU Firms. EU firms that are coming to terms with the economic effects of EU NIS 2, Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) and recently released EU Machinery regulation. Regulations that will effect CNI providers and the suppliers of digitally enabled products and services to the EU. Both of which cover a significant scope of products, services and organizations.
NIS 2 requires CNI covered entities to implement appropriate cybersecurity risk management governance, risk and cyber programs and demonstrate cybersecurity governance, oversight and assurance. Or risk heavy penalties that could include civil and criminal liability for individuals and organizations. The CRA applies to digitally enabled products distributed and sold in the EU, requiring the implementation of a cybersecurity program to assess risk and through life remediation of cyber security vulnerabilities.
In either case affecting organizations trading in and with the EU. Here we discuss EU NIS 2 in detail with Jamie Foster of Hill Dickinson LLP, its impact, enforcement and compliance considerations (https://lnkd.in/eQtqxeFf).
We deliver cybersecurity risk management advice, guidance, and legal regulatory compliance programs to boards of in scope organizations.
