A great read.

If correct and Banks are raising prices, denying loan requests, de-selecting industries and in some cases clients, based upon the impact of additional capital requirements, as suggested. With a backdrop of banks being unable to address ESG requirements ahead of 2022 deadlines. Regulation maybe having a undesirable cliff-edge impact on climate change and risks to their loan books and away from their balance sheets.

With EU banks expected to require banks to add capital to cover climate risks. Banks will be incentivised to manage their credit risk or hold capital to cover the gaps. With Cyber risk governance under review by the SEC and likely to sit under the G of ESG (its a material risk). It is likely to create a much bigger issue for banks.
