A recent report highlights the vulnerability of critical infrastructure. Attacks that took place in March, July and August 2021 targets water treatment facilities in California, Maine and Nevada using different ransomware threat vectors.

CISA, FBI, NSA, and the EPA published an advisory notice following analysis of the attacks. (https://lnkd.in/dMyvQUmu). Highlighting the need for staff to monitor for systems monitoring, running up to date systems, access management, SCADA integration and RDP.

Does this tell us anything about the maturity of cybersecurity across water treatment?
