An excellent article, very timely and appropriate about the impact of cyber on our future. The convergence of a number or recent events point to the all encompassing nature of security over the coming years. With the impact across the board, creating a paradigm of‚Â military-industrial-financial and data (MIFD) through which security maybe viewed.
Nation-states are increasing their cyber capabilities over conventional weapons. Societies dependence on data and technology, government spending on defence (both US and China), the development of strategic industries to manage supply chain risks. Superpowers are of a similar idea that future wars will focus on cyber security, finance, social media, and trade as well as military aspects.
The challenge for many nations when it comes to cyber is they don’t have a meaning full defensive cyber strategy. Which cuts across finance, social media and the military (CMMC).
