Another Australian company, this time an insurer, is getting itself back online following what can only be described as spate of cyber attacks against the country.

This should be a warning, the challenges that Australia is facing are not due to their lack of appreciation of cybersecurity or their poor cyber security standards. Australia has some of the best cyber standards in the world. https://lnkd.in/eRXuN_iG

But it’s not about the standards now for Australia, its about the implementation of those standards and the oversight, assurance, attestation and compliance to those standards that is under the spot light.

The market is awash with solutions to manage cyber, just about every category of a CSF or ISO 27001 has products to support an organisation manage cyber risk. But cyber is more complex, attacks more frequent and their impact more severe, something appears to not be working?
