Claims are circulating by hackers that they have stolen data relating to the combat management system of the French Navy’s Submarines and Frigates. Sparking an investigation by the French Navy.

Cyber attacks are difficult to stop. However the cyber defenses of the company in question will be robust. As the company is owned by the French State and 35% by the Thales Group. As a manufacturer to the United States Department of Defense Thales is committed, and likely contracted, to implementing minimum levels of cybersecurity on U.S Defense contracts. One would expect higher levels of cybersecurity applied to its own data, that is considered ‘Classified’ or ‘Secret’.
