Covered German companies must now register themselves in the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) portal if they are affected by EU NIS2. The first step is to apply for a digital certificate to authenticate the identity of the company.

As NIS moves out across the 27 EU member states, cybersecurity regulation will become real for many companies within CNI, and companies that are within the supply chain of the CNI sector. Both within and outside of the EU.

Non-EU companies may not be able to avoid the impact of cybersecurity regulation if they sit within the EU CNI supply chain.
