Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) Operations Technology, specifically Industrial Control Systems, gets focus under a Whitehouse memorandum. To encourage and facilitate the deployment of technologies and systems that provide threat visibility and cyber response for CNI. Expanding the deployment of cyber security across OT and protect critical National Infrastructure.
It aims to enable greater collaboration between government and industry and take action to address threats to CNI. Building on existing pilot programmes, to baseline cybersecurity goals that are consistent across all critical infrastructure sectors, as well as a need for security controls for select critical infrastructure that is dependent on control systems.
