Cyber is unfortunately a fact of life for the public and private sector. For national and international organisations streamlining cyber standards for the management of cybersecurity risk is an important consideration. As boards are faced with cybersecurity risk management regulations including the SEC final rule, EU NIS 2, EU DORA, EU CRA, U.S DoD CMMC and NYDFS, and with board cybersecurity oversight promised by the Australian Securities and Investment Commission, and nations actively seeking to regulate board cyber going forward. Cyber risk regulation is difficult to avoid.

A reason the harmonisation and standardization of cyber regulation is required and topic that we have discussed extensively over the past years. To find a solution to the complex problem of addressing both corporate cybersecurity and meeting the needs of various nation states and their national regulators.
