Cybersecurity regulation seems to be on the agenda of EU and U.S policy makers, and the UK is lagging significantly behind. This seems to be the message that is being touted and its not an unfair comment. One only has to look at the regulatory agenda, whether it is EU NIS 2.0, DORA or CRA the SEC proposal, the soon to be announced White House ONCD national cyber strategy, or the U.S DoD DFARS/ CMMC regime.

U.S and EU Regulations will impact UK trade. They will set the cyber standards UK plc has to meet to access capital markets, deliver products and services in the U.S and EU, and reduce our competitiveness as cyber becomes a contractual requirement.

Cyber is a complex problem, one that requires harmonisation of cybersecurity regulations and standards to facilitate national security and international trade.
