Call us now:
From Red Lobsters to one of the biggest security failures we’ve seen in a really, really long time. That’s opened up a ‘Whole can of Whoop Ass’ for users that give it access to almost all aspects of their personal and private lives and corporate data.
There’s been a lot of noise about a new AI Agent called Clawdbot, renamed Moltbot, which, by all intents and purposes, it’s an outstanding concept and tool. It can be run locally, or remotely, as demonstrated by this YouTube video – https://lnkd.in/eN7cVD8i
It enables users to create and connect skills that can be prompted through messaging. The skills library includes messaging, calendar, code storage/ generation, media and entertainment, and data. The concept is outstanding, and its uptake has been astronomical, the fastest uptake of an AI app in history. But that’s where it stops. When you peel back the app, it looks like one of the biggest threats to personal and corporate security in history.
As the YouTube video demonstrates, it can be plugged into some seriously important applications through API keys and authentication, it can be configured to run on local machines, with whole system access, and run root OS level commands. Moltbot runs with Persistence, meaning it’s running 24×7, hoovering up whatever you give it access to. It also looks to be rather insecure, as demonstrated by the enclosed article.
Insurers are already considering exclusion clauses for AI use. What will insurers do when they find out that the reason the hack was successful, and your personal data was compromised, was because you connected an AI agent to access your data?
